# The payment reversal object

The payment reversal object in the Shortcut API - every field, an example, and the endpoints that return it.

An undone offline payment.

## Fields

| Field       | Type                                                                     | Description                                                             |
| ----------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `object`    | `"payment_reversal"`                                                     | Always `payment_reversal`.                                              |
| `paymentId` | id                                                                       | The payment that was removed.                                           |
| `amount`    | number                                                                   | The removed payment's amount, in US dollars.                            |
| `invoice`   | [invoice](/developers/api-reference/reference/objects/invoice.md) object | The invoice after the reversal: unpaid again, or overdue when past due. |
