# Tags

Labels attached to customers and leads.

Tag names are unique in the workspace, ignoring case. A customer's tags are set as one list.

## List tags

> Tag definitions, newest first, or by last change when \`updatedSince\` is set.\

## Create a tag

> Creates a tag that can be attached to customers. Names are unique in the workspace ignoring case; a taken name is 409 \`already\_exists\`. Send an \`Idempotency-Key\` to retry safely.\

## Delete a tag

> Deletes a tag and removes it from every customer and lead, as deleting it in Settings does; saved Dispatch views stop filtering on it. This cannot be undone. Customers who wore the tag count as changed for \`updatedSince\`, and, if the token has \`automations:trigger\`, automations that start when a tag is removed run as they do for deletes in the app.\

## Rename a tag

> Renames a tag everywhere it is attached. A name another tag has, ignoring case, is 409 \`already\_exists\`. Renaming does not count as a change to the customers wearing the tag.\
