## Custom automations on Optimize

You can build your own automation instead of relying only on the library.

The current trigger catalog includes:

* **New user**
* **User status change**
* **Estimate sent**
* **Estimate reminder**
* **Estimate voided**
* **New message**
* **Estimate accepted**
* **Estimate rejected**
* **Job schedule**
* **Job reschedule**
* **Job canceled**
* **Job day before**
* **Job completion**
* **Invoice created**
* **Invoice overdue**
* **Invoice paid**
* **Payment failed**
* **New inquiry from webform**
* **When...** for scheduled recurring automations

## Timing options in the custom builder

Custom automations can use timing steps such as:

* **After...** for a delay
* **Wait until...** for a weekday and time window

These timing rules use your company timezone.

## Action types in the custom builder

Current action options include:

* **Send email**
* **Send SMS**
* **Add task**

## Filters you can use in custom automations

Depending on the trigger, you can filter using details such as:

* user status (lifecycle stage)
* property size
* property distance
* property address
* services
* recent activity
* job schedule
* job value

Service-based filters are tenant-specific, so the list of services depends on what your company has already created in Shortcut.

{% hint style="info" %}
All automations support merge tags, and many support configurable delays. For a broader overview, see [Automations](/readme/automations.md).
