# Operations Defaults (capacity + routes)

Operations Defaults holds your daily scheduling capacity and your route start/end addresses. Open the **settings cog → Operations & Compliance → Operations Defaults**.

## Scheduling capacity

Set **Daily job capacity (max jobs/day)**. This is a soft limit — Shortcut won't block scheduling past it, but day indicators warn you:

* 🟢 **Green** — under capacity
* 🟡 **Yellow** — at capacity
* 🔴 **Red** — over capacity (overbooked)

## Route start & end addresses

Set where crews start and end their day (your shop, your home). Dispatch uses these for route optimization. Toggle **Same start address** if routes start and end at the same place.

## Expected result

Scheduling surfaces show the capacity indicator per day, and Dispatch route optimization anchors to your addresses.
