# Scheduling & jobs (capacity + routes)
**Scheduling & jobs** holds your daily scheduling capacity and your route start and end addresses. Open **Settings → Operations → Scheduling & jobs**. [Open Scheduling & jobs →](https://shortcutco.com/settings/scheduling-jobs)

## Scheduling capacity
Set **Daily job capacity (max jobs/day)**. It's a warning, not a hard limit: Shortcut still lets you schedule past it, but each day is colour-coded:
* 🟢 **Green** — under capacity
* 🟡 **Yellow** — at capacity
* 🔴 **Red** — over capacity (overbooked)
## Route start & end addresses
Set where crews start and end their day (your shop, your home). Dispatch's **Optimize routes** plans each crew's run from this address and back to it, and the route map marks it with a house icon. Turn on **Start and end address are the same** if routes begin and end at one place. Leave both blank and **Optimize routes** just puts the stops in order, with no fixed start or end point.
Pick each address from the suggestions so Shortcut captures its exact location. Until you do, the page says *Select an address from the list to capture coordinates.* Click **Save** when you're done.
## Expected result
Wherever you schedule, each day shows its capacity colour, and **Optimize routes** in Dispatch starts and ends each crew's route at your address. See [Optimize routes and the Assistant](/readme/dispatch/optimize-routes-and-the-assistant.md).
