# Jobs & Scheduling

**How billing connects:** completing a visit is what triggers billing. By default that creates and sends an invoice right away; for customers on scheduled or offline billing, completed work waits and is billed later — see [Billing modes](/readme/finances-invoices-and-payments/billing-modes.md).

## Where jobs show up

* [**Jobs**](https://shortcutco.com/jobs) (list): every job — filter by status, cadence, service, crew (including **No owner** — see [Crew ownership](/readme/dispatch/crew-ownership.md)), or value; select many to **bulk schedule**.
* [**Calendar**](/readme/jobs-and-scheduling/calendar.md): day, week, and month planning of ordered stops by date and crew.
* [**Dispatch**](https://shortcutco.com/dispatch): the day-of command center — assign crews, optimize routes, message customers, complete stops.

## Ways to create a job

* **Proposal accepted** → the job is created automatically (the normal path).
* **Customer profile → Jobs tab → Create job** → build jobs directly from services, templates, or chemical programs — no proposal needed. You can create them immediately or send the scope for customer approval. See [Create a job for an existing customer](/readme/jobs-and-scheduling/create-a-job-for-an-existing-customer.md).
* **Jobs page → New job** → same composer, starting from a customer picker.

## Ways to schedule (and move) work

* **Jobs page** — click **Schedule** on any unscheduled job, or select several and use **Schedule selected**.
* **Customer profile** — the Jobs tab and Current Jobs card both offer **Schedule** for unscheduled work.
* **Calendar** — schedule pending jobs from the **Unscheduled** drawer; drag stops between days/crews to move existing work.
* **Dispatch** — move work between crews and dates for a specific day.

## Change prices

Need to raise prices across many customers at once — and notify everyone properly? See [Bulk price changes](/readme/jobs-and-scheduling/bulk-price-changes.md).

## Complete a job

* Workers finish visits in the [Worker app](https://shortcutco.com/today) (**Finish**).
* Admins complete from [Dispatch](https://shortcutco.com/dispatch) (**Complete Stop**) — not from the Jobs list.

Completing a visit triggers the billing flow for that customer (immediate invoice, pending queue, or prepay coverage).
