# Proposal service options (edit + alternatives)

## Edit a service line

### In the proposal

Click the **three dots** on a service line.

### Edit

Click **Edit**.

### Update

* One-off vs recurring
* Rate
* Quantity variable (hours, sq ft, etc.)

### Save

Save.

## Add an alternative option

Alternatives let you offer a second option the customer can choose. Each alternative shows **full pricing** so clients can compare.

Examples:

* Plant a pine tree (default) vs plant an aspen tree (alternative)
* Gold snow plowing package vs Silver package

### Open options

Click the **three dots** on the service line.

### Add alternative

Click **Add alternative**.

### Configure

Name the alternative and set the price details.

### Save

Save.

## What the customer sees

On the proposal page (`/p/[token]`), clients can toggle between alternatives and optional items. The **total updates dynamically** as they make selections.

Clients can **approve** the proposal or **decline** (they'll be asked for a brief reason, which you'll see on the prospect).

## Delete a service
